[6.10] Red Vic : Premiere - We Interrupt This Empire opened on June 10th at the Red Vic in San Francisco. All four evening screenings were sold out and the crowds really responded well to the piece. Guests included speakers from Blue Triangle Network, Direct Action to Stop the War, Corporate Watch, and Indymedia, San Francisco.

[7.25] New College : Activist Film Fest - The collaborative makers of We Interrupt This Empire were very pleased to see it be included in New College's Activism and Social Change Film Festival.

[8.26, 9:15pm] Parkway : Anuradha Mittal appeared in person at the Parkway Theater screening and discussed things such as ... Empire, the WTO in Cancun, and UNORCA - the Mexican farmers' organization particpating in the International Peasant Forum occuring concurrently in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

[8.28, 6pm ] Roxie : Benefit screening for Food First and UNORCA. Dr. Peter Rossett appeared in person. Proceeds went to help Mexican peasants and indigenous people get to WTO Cancun!

Once we know about your group, if you are doing a benefit screening or not, and some things of that nature - we will then be able to discuss the terms of our releasing it to you for a public event. Please do not organize a screening of this work without contacting us. Also, as you are promoting your screening event, always include the webpage about the piece (as a live link on webpostings and/or listed on the flyer in the following manner - videoactivism.org.) Thank you for helping us to get the word out there and for acting in solidarity wiht our efforts to screen the work in a coordinated manner.
