For Immediate Release:

Y2K Video Night: Hype, Hope, or Hell?

Global Disaster? Internet Paranoia? The Luddites' Revenge?

Yes, Y2K! Also know as the Millenium bug or the Year 2000 Problem.
The much anticipated computer crisis is approaching when computers may
not be able to recognize the correct date, and this evening's videos will
explore the possible ramifications of this little global gadget glitch.
Opinion varies greatly about what will happen January 1st if our computer
dependent infrastructure hiccups, ranging from a disastrous (or blessed)
Industrial Collapse, to a Biblically prophesized Armageddon, to a couple of
days of Consumer Inconvenience.

In any event, if major corporations and the U.S. Military are taking it
seriously, you may want to know what they know. And what they are doing
about it...

Featuring video selections from:

- The Center for Strategic and International Studies' hearings broadcast on
C-SPAN

- A Y2K preparedness video called Year 2000 Crossroads: Proceed With Caution

- Christian ministry videos, including one entitled Y2K: Shocking But Real!

- (and to inflame your paranoia...) Video activist footage from Urban
Warrior, the recent invasion of Oakland, CA by the U.S. Marines in
preparation for domestic military combat against "terrorist attack."

Discussion will follow screening as time and interest allow.
